Dylan's Diary - 8th September 2010

Hey you dog-lovers!

What a great day yesterday!

We had Blackpool and The Fylde College with us and they brought their sports and public services students for a team bonding session of wicked outdoor activities.

The students had only been at college for two days so most of them didn't know each other but they all got stuck in to all their activities with their teams and had a great time!

The High Ropes was a personal favourite of mine - it always has been - I think I like the Leap of Faith the best, the students didn't seem to mind me sitting at the bottom and barking at them like the crazy hound I am. I heard lots of the groups really like The Vines and found it quite a challenge. They all seemed to want to get wet on their Raft Building and Kayaking sessions too - what is it with the youth of today? Me, I prefer to race around the lake like a complete nutcase dog barking the whole time - it's great! I say nutcase - I meant very intelligent and extremely adept sheepdog.

The college took part in Rifle Shooting and there were lots of Archery sessions going on too - they all seem to get quite competitive with these activities, I guess that's all part of it. I heard on the grapevine that one group even called themselves 'Team Dylan' when they had their archery competition - the pride is almost too much to take!

In the afternoon there was this amazing thunderstorm, but the instructors had to stop sessions on the high ropes for a short while as there was some forked lightning around - they always know how to stay safe. I got completely wet through in the rain - it was great. And then just like that all the students left in their big coaches - no worries though cos the other half of them are coming today - I literally can't wait!

Bye for now - Big woof from me x
